"We were left speechless and in awe of God’s continued faithfulness."

The Fergen Family

Our journey to adoption began before we were married. God had laid the desire to adopt on my heart – even before having biological children. This is something that my husband, Danny, and I talked about during our dating, engagement, and the beginning of our marriage.  A few months after being married, Danny led worship at a conference and it was there that God spoke to his heart – showing him his plan for bringing adoption into our lives. We prayed for a few months seeking God’s guidance and began the adoption process of our eldest son, Coyer, whom we adopted just nine months later.

A year after adopting Coyer, we also added to our family biologically with the birth of our son Kedren and two years later, our daughter Baylic. After Baylic’s birth, we knew that our story of adoption was not complete. God’s plan for us was even bigger than we knew and we took the faithful step in following his lead as we started our second adoption process. We loved being able to share this experience with our three children!

Finances played a larger role in our second adoption and we knew God would have to make it clear on how he was going to provide the funds this time around. With providing for three children at home, this was where we needed God’s provision the most and he faithfully directed us to Show Hope. We applied for a grant and waited patiently in prayer as they made their decision. Shortly after, we were grateful to find out that we were awarded a Show Hope grant!! This was an answer to our prayers and once again showed us how God had a perfect plan for our family.

After experiencing a disrupted adoption in January 2014 and the weeks of subsequent heartbreak, we received a call on February 10th informing us that we were chosen to be the parents of a beautiful baby boy who was just 10 days old!! We were left speechless and in awe of God’s continued faithfulness and were overwhelmed with happiness. After many ups and downs, we could clearly see that God was in control through it all. On February 12, 2014, we held Daeston in our arms for the first time and praised God for his faithfulness in bringing him into our family.

We thank God for his continued provision and faithfulness, especially through the grant provided by Show Hope! We were able to rejoice over our son and the blessing he is to our family instead of worrying and stressing about finances. We are grateful for Show Hope and for the support they showed us over the long months of waiting. Our friends and family were also able to support Show Hope in our name and for this we will always be grateful! Thank you to all of Show Hope’s sponsors and donors who make miracles like this possible!
